Google Sheets & Excel Specs
Exporting to regional Excel files? Semicolons are automatically selected to prevent column errors. UTF-8 BOM headers ensure special characters and accent marks open correctly.
Enterprise Sandbox Security
We understand compliance. No requests are ever logged or dispatched over the web. Run conversions completely offline; disconnect your internet and verify yourself.
Optimizing CSV Exports for Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Excel parses CSV files differently depending on your system's regional language settings and system locale. If you open a standard CSV and notice all values lumped into the first column, or if foreign characters and accents appear scrambled, use these adjustments:
UTF-8 BOM Header
By default, Excel opens CSV files using the system's local ANSI codepage. Prepending a Byte Order Mark (BOM) signature (\uFEFF) forces Excel to interpret the file as UTF-8, rendering emojis, accents, and international glyphs correctly.
Regional Delimiters
In many European countries and countries where commas are used as decimal separators, Excel expects a semicolon (;) delimiter rather than a comma. If Excel opens your CSV as a single column, changing the separator to Semicolon will split columns automatically.
Zero Cloud Upload Security Guarantee
Under corporate compliance and data governance policies (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, SOC-2), pasting database records or customer emails into online converters can constitute a data breach. Because this application processes data completely in-memory inside your browser, no data is transmitted over the internet, keeping your enterprise records secure.
